This Juneteenth in History eCard is a montage of vintage photographs. The first photo is a black and white image of 8 black men in Civil War era clothing with swords by their sides. The caption reads, "Juneteenth Reenactment". This crossfades to a sepia toned photo of a huge black family arranged for a group photo. the caption reads, "Juneteenth, Houston, Texas". Another sepia photo appears of a horse drawn buggy carrying to well dressed black women in white and a black gentleman in a suit holding the reigns. It is pulled by a horse and is decorated all over with white flowers. It stand sin front of a row of simple small white wooden houses. the caption reads, "Juneteenth Carriage". Next is another sepia photo of a large carriage that can hold many people, drawn by a horse. In it are 8 black women. It is decorated with white flowers and has a sing on the side saying "Spirit of Charity". The caption reads, "Juneteenth Carriage, 1906". Another sepia photo of a horse drawn carriage with two white horses. The carriage is a large farm wagon with 7 well dressed black ladies and gentlemen in fine clothing seated upon it and decorated with stripes and circles of crepe paper and streamers. Next is a sepia toned photo of horse drawn buggy with a white horse that has been slathered with flowers as decoration. Riding in it are two black women in formal white dresses and hats in the style of the 1900s. The caption reads, "Juneteenth Carriage, Martha & Pinky Yates". Next is a black and white photo of a turn of the last Century town street with wooden buildings and a large throng of black Americans filling the street. The caption reads, "Emancipation Day - Richmond, Virginia, 1905". The final black and white photo is of a band of 6 black male musicians and their various instruments standing in a yard before two or three trees and with an American flag behind them. The caption reads, "June 19, 1900". Slowly a red stripe and a green stripe superimpose over the top 1/3 and bottom 1/3 of the photo leaving the musicians' faces visible and containing the card's message, "Happy Juneteenth".
