The Old Tyme New Year is a sequence of vintage postcards from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s with a vintage wallpaper background starting with a postcard of a candle in a candlestick with flowers and a little smoke veil around the candle as the caption reads “greetings for the New Year”. To the next card with the words “For auld lang syne” written on a plaque with flowers surrounding it. Next are two cards next to one another, the first one of a little girl in her long lace trimmed dress and matching bonnet holding a bouquet of flowers with January 1 at the top and the caption reads “A happy new year” and next to it two little children in old time German period clothes dress, bonnet, striped socks, shorts and vest where the little boy is up a ladder helping the little girl wrap the “A happy new year” sign with a garland of roses. Next is a antique clock showing midnight with 4 elves with long white beards around it holding trumpets and one looking tired as he looks at a sign with January 1 on it. Next, a photo circa late 1800’s of a large green wallet filled with coins and a little girl holding the wallet flat to keep it open as she holds a bouquet of roses. The caption reads “a happy new year”. To the final card of 3 young girl angels with wings, the one in the middle is holding a horseshoe for good luck. They are standing behind a brick wall that has “A happy new year” written on it and holly on each side of the 3 angels then “from me to you” also appears on the screen.
