The Art of Grandparents day ecard is a sequence of classic paintings beginning with a painting of a mid 1800’s grandmother sitting in her chair in her living room showing her granddaughter, who is standing close to her with her back to her grandma, how to sow with her arms in front of her granddaughter who watches carefully. The next painting circa 1780 show a grandfather and grandmother with their daughter and her two children where their granddaughter has her arms around her grandmother’s neck and the baby in his mother’s arm points to his grandparents. Everyone is smiling beautifully. To the next painting circa 1870 shows a grandfather holding his grandchild in his arms, holding one of his arms close to his face and the babe is crying loudly making his grandfather cringe and smile. The following painting, circa early 1700 shows a grandmother with a period scarf hat on and wearing a dark robe, is sitting on a chair and knitting as her granddaughter sits in front of her in a long velvet dress, her hair neatly tressed holds a book on her lap as she looks at her grandmother. Next, a painting circa early 1800’s of a little girl in her beautiful bed full of pillows and her grandmother with her white hair up in a tressed bun sits next to her on a chair and reads her a book. The next painting circa mid 1850’s is set inside in a room with a table and two chairs where a grandfather holds his little grandchild and helps the child to walk on the table as his sister watches as she sits on a table chair with her arms open. The following painting circa 1800 has a grandmother sitting and reading to her granddaughter who in turn, touches her face with her sweet little hand. To the final painting circa mid 1850’s with a grandmother with a lovely smile sitting and holding a basket of fruit, has her 3 grandchildren surrounding her and holding her in their arms while smiling. The final banner appears with the words “With a heart filled with love happy grandparents day!”
